  • Do I have to be flexible to practice yoga?
    The simple answer is no. If you are not flexible, yoga is a great way to become more flexible. Yoga is a practice for every body, no matter your size, age, gender, or level of flexibility.
  • I’m not fit -can I do yoga?
    Absolutely. There is no level of fitness required for yoga. Yoga can help you gain a sense of physical confidence and overall well-being.
  • What are some of the benefits of practicing yoga?
    There are many documented benefits of yoga on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level. The following are some general health related benefits: Greater resilience to stress Improved mood Improved sleep Increased strength Improved flexibility Weight loss Fewer aches and pains More patience Greater productivity
  • What should I wear?
    Any kind of workout clothes or activewear is acceptable to wear in your yoga practice. The clothing should be comfortable and easy to move and stretch in.
  • What should I bring?
    Just bring yourself, in appropriate clothing (as mentioned above). Bring a yoga mat. I have some extra mats you can use, if you don’t have your own. Bring a bottle of water. I will provide blocks, straps, bolsters and blankets to use for free.
  • Are your classes “hot” yoga?
    My classes are done in a heated room, but “hot” isn’t the best word to describe the experience. I like to describe it as a comfortable heat. Most people become accustomed to the heat quickly and begin to love it, as they experience the benefits of practicing in a heated room.
  • What are the benefits of practicing in a heated room?
    It can enhance your yoga practice and provide a number of additional benefits, including; detoxification through sweating, improved cardiovascular function, and the ability to work deeper and safer in your poses while reducing the risk of injury
  • Can I eat before yoga practice?
    You should refrain from eating a heavy meal two to three hours before practicing. Try to come well hydrated.
